930 East Onyx Lane (9695 South), White City Township
Located in White City Township, Big Bear Park spans 14.6 acres of active recreation and neighborhood open space. Visitors are greeted near the playground by the park's iconic granite bear statue, sculpted in 1966 by Churchill Junior High art teacher Reed L. Tyler. The statue weighs 4.5 tons and stands six feet seven inches tall.
The renovated playground features an array of modern play structures, including swings and zip lines for kids of all ages. Trail users can also connect directly to the White City Canal Trail at the southeast corner of the park.

Butterfield Trailhead Regional Park provides 16 miles of multi-use trail within the Southwest Canyon Trails Network, with a trail that connects directly to Yellow Fork. Use of this park is specific to trails only. The regional park is a partnership between Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation, Kennecott Rio Tinto, and Bureau of Land Management. In addition to trails, the regional park will have a trailhead/parking lot.
The Southwest Canyon Trails Network includes Rose, Yellow Fork, and Butterfield canyons.
Butterfield Trailhead Regional Park officially opened to the public on August 31, 2023.

Canyon Rim Park is a 16-acre park located in Millcreek City. Amenities include a pavilion, playgrounds, baseball field, pickleball and tennis courts, a horseshoe pit and an amphitheater.

Copperton Park is a 10-acre community park in the heart of Copperton Metro Township. This shaded park includes walkways and jogging paths as well as a basketball court, a concrete volleyball court, tennis courts and a roller hockey court. The most popular amenity is a playground area which features climbing structures and large tires modeled after the nearby Kennecott Copper Mine.

6641 South Cougar Lane (4800 West), West Jordan
Cougar Park spans 27 acres in West Jordan, combining active community amenities with a dedicated wildlife sanctuary. The park features a covered pavilion with seating for up to 65 guests, a neighborhood playground, horseshoe pits, and a sand volleyball court.
A distinctive feature of Cougar Park is its protected owl nature preserve, designed to restore and sustain native plant and wildlife habitat. The area provides critical nesting grounds for western burrowing owls from March through September. To protect these ground-nesting birds during breeding season, the preserve’s pedestrian nature trail is open for public access exclusively from October through February.

Crestwood Regional Park is a 58-acre park located in Cottonwood Heights. Park amenities include tennis courts, horseshoes, and a playground with several picnic tables nearby. Additionally, the park features multiple walking and jogging paths that run alongside Little Cottonwood Creek, and is also home to the Crestwood Outdoor Pool.

Located in West Valley City, Decker Lake Park is a designated Class II regional park centered around a scenic urban wetland and open-water lake. The park features a paved pedestrian loop, public pickleball courts, and seasonal recreational water access, offering visitors a convenient natural open space for walking, wildlife watching, and outdoor recreation.
A flat, paved 1.2-mile multi-use pathway circles the perimeter of Decker Lake. The path is ideal for walking, jogging, and stroller use, providing unobstructed mountain views and excellent vantage points for watching local waterfowl and migratory birds.
The park features dedicated hard-surface pickleball courts available for drop-in recreational play. Courts operate on a first-come, first-served basis during daylight park hours.

Bruce Field Park is a 3.6 acre neighborhood park in Kearns. A former baseball field, the area now offers open space for a variety of outdoor sports. The playground includes accessible surfacing, slides, a climbing dome, and a bulldozer slide structure for younger children.
Dating back to World War II, Bruce Field was used as a popular baseball area for soldiers at Camp Kearns to play ball. After the field lost popularity over time, community members and the Pony Baseball League sought to revive the area as a neighborhood park through a new partnership with Salt Lake County. The redeveloped park was completed in 2015.
