| Class | Description |
| Barre | Use ballet movements and techniques (dance experience not required) to work core, legs, and upper body. Class uses light weights, bands, exercise balls, and body weight for training. All fitness levels welcome. |
| Circuit | Rotate between stations and equipment for a cardio strength interval style full-body workout. |
| Core | Strengthen your lower back and abs. Instructors use various equipment to guide you through exercises. |

High classes mix high intensity workouts with moderate/active recovery. All fitness levels welcome o push toward HIGHer levels of cardio and training in this modern twist on aerobics.

| Spin |
Group excercise riding stationary bikes to music with a motivating instructor. Classes focus on endurance, interval, speed, play, strenth, and performance. All fitness levels welcome. All bikes have toe cages, SPD, and LOOK Clips. |

This non-choreographed workout combines conditioning and strength intervals to focus on agility, conditioning, and strength. Workout with a variety of equipment. |

J.L. Sorenson Recreation Center provides private room rentals for birthday parties, family celebrations, community meetings, and special gatherings.
The Small Party Room is well-suited for children's birthday parties and smaller private celebrations.
School-Year Pool Access Notice: During the school year, the indoor pool opens at 3 pm on weekdays. Swimming pool access is unavailable during rental blocks scheduled prior to 3 pm. General pool admission is sold separately and is not included in the room rental fee.
The Uintah Room provides a spacious, flexible setting for larger groups, meetings, banquets, and events requiring extended time beyond 90 minutes.
We offer a wide variety of youth classes: Karate, Dance, Gymnastics, Ballet, Music Theater, Art, Swim Lessons, Youth Fitness, & more. All of our classes are taught by professionals with the expertise and certifications required to instruct each specific class.
Our youth sports programs are run through Salt Lake County Recreation: Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Track, Water Polo, Swim Teams, and more.
The JL Recreation Center requires many team (staff )members to keep the facility and all of its programs running.
Most of our class instructors are contracted individuals/organizations with the expertise and qualifications to instruct their specific class.
Our Personal Trainers will be contracted individuals with the qualifications and certifications required to conduct personal fitness training.
We offer a wide range of group fitness classes: Step, Cycling, Cardio Kickboxing, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, Water Aerobics, and more. Certified Instructors will lead these classes.

There is no outdoor pool attached to the facility, however, JL Sorenson manages South County Outdoor Pool.
JL Sorenson has indoor pools: an 8-lane competitive lap pool, with diving boards. A leisure pool with water slides, a current channel, and other water toys.
