Children’s Justice Center

When a serious crime has occurred to a child or teenager, the Children’s Justice Center is ready to provide kind support to the child victim and family. A fairly short visit to the program and the child will receive supportive comfort and be able to talk to a specially trained interviewer to share their experiences so that hope, healing, and justice can occur. The parents and guardians receive support services as well and connections to community-based services for expert services from trauma trained providers in mental health counseling and medical care. The staff coordinate the child abuse investigative process in partnership with law enforcement, child protection agencies and Primary Children’s Hospital – Center for Safe and Healthy Families so that the experience is smoother for the child and family. Children feel supported, empowered, and cared for which starts the path to healing. An award-winning program since 1991. Accredited by the National Children’s Alliance for best practice methods in serving child victims of crime
