2025 Watershed Plan

As part of an ongoing commitment to protect natural resources, Salt Lake County has developed the 2025 Salt Lake County Integrated Watershed Plan (2025 IWP). The 2025 IWP was developed using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency nine-element watershed planning process and includes input and involvement from watershed partners and local, state, and federal agencies operating within Salt Lake County.

Overall goals of the 2025 IWP:

• Build partnerships
• Assess waterbody and watershed conditions
• Prioritize implementable recommendations and management actions to address water quality concerns in the watershed
• Identify milestones and indicators to measure progress as projects are implemented

The 2025 IWP provides a 10-year update to the 2015 IWP.
