Taxpayer Service Entities
As you may have noticed on your property tax notice, your tax amount is divided among numerous entities that provide services in your community. Each entity receives a portion of property tax revenue to fund their annual budget.
By state statute, the County Treasurer is an independently elected official, serving all of Salt Lake County. The Treasurer's Office collects and distributes more than $2 billion in property tax revenue each year to support the various service providers throughout the County, including cities, school districts, and special districts
