Mayor Jenny Wilson is a 5th-generation Utahn and the first female Democratic mayor of Salt Lake County. Mayor Wilson seeks to ensure the amazing quality of life in Salt Lake County continues and is accessible to all.

The Salt Lake County mayor is the chief executive officer of county government. Serving 1.3 million residents, the mayor administers the budget and county operations and services. The mayor also oversees many county programs and initiatives. Examples include economic development, public health, affordable housing, a clean environment, social services, and spaces for arts and recreation.

Under Mayor Wilson’s leadership, Salt Lake County has emerged as one of the nation’s most well-run local governments. The county consistently receives recognition for its outstanding fiscal management and stellar AAA bond rating. This ranks in the top 0.1% nationally.
