Linking County Assets to Facilities Work Orders

About this project

A group of colorful balls.
  • Status: In Progress
  • Lead Agency: Facilities Services
  • Funding Amount: $59,893

The Linking County Assets to Facility Work Orders project will improve how Salt Lake County tracks and maintains major equipment by tagging key assets and connecting them to the Facilities work order system. These key assets, about 4,700 in total, are items with a replacement cost above $2,500 and include equipment related to electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, and carpentry systems. Each asset will be labeled with a barcode or QR code, allowing staff to quickly scan and access information in real time. This will help identify high maintenance and costly equipment more quickly, reduce repair and replacement expenses, and save staff time. By improving maintenance efficiency and reducing downtime, the project will support more reliable County facilities and a better experience for the public.
