  • Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your benefits, make changes, and ensure your coverage still fits your life. Whether you're updating a few details or exploring new ways to save, here are a few things to put on your 2027 checklist!
  • Take a moment to review the beneficiaries listed on all your life insurance plans, including your County-paid Basic Life. A quick check now can help ensure your benefits go to the people you choose,
  • Your current HSA enrollment will roll over but now is a great time to review your contribution amount and take advantage of the increased 2027 contribution limits.

Important HSA Reminders

Your HSA deferral must be set at $0 or more to receive the County contribution.
If you waive coverage, you won't receive the County contribution on January 1.
If you enroll in an HSA after January 1, 2027 your County contribution will be prorated based on your enrollment date.

Remember: FSA elections do not roll over, so you'll need to make a new election each year. Be sure to review the 2027 IRS contribution limits before enrolling.

Onsite Cleanings with Jet Dental

Make time for your smile before the end of the year! The Salt Lake County Benefits Team is excited to bring Jet Dental onsite during our November 4th and 5th Open Enrollment Benefits Fairs, making it convenient for you and your covered dependents to get dental care.

Please allow approximately one hour for your preventive appointment and complete your health history and insurance information before your visit.

Jet Dental will also offer optional GLO professional teeth whitening for $249. Whitening is a separate, paid service. If you need a deeper periodontal cleaning or other treatment beyond routine preventive care, additional costs may apply. Jet Dental will review any applicable costs with you before treatment.
