Charges filed by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office Against Noel Lopez were Unsealed Today, Lopez now in Custody

On October 28, 2021 the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Noel Lopez. These charges were then put under seal, until today. Noel Lopez has been charged with:

Count 1: Murder- First Degree Felony

Count 2: Purchase, Transfer, Possession or Use of a Firearm by Restricted Person- Second Degree Felony

Count 3: Felony Discharge of a Firearm- Third Degree Felony

Count 4: Felony Discharge of a Firearm- Third Degree Felony

“West Valley Police Department did incredible work on this case and they deserve to be commended. This was not an easy case to put together. Said District Attorney Sim Gill. I also want to thank our prosecutors that made this case a priority. This is the first step towards helping the victims and community find a measure of justice.”

The charges filed are allegations, Noel Lopez remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
