The Ghosts of West Temple is an interactive digital story that focuses on a small section of West Temple and North Temple in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. This presentation primarily utilizes images and historical building data from the collection of Tax Appraisal Cards and photographs held at the Salt Lake County Archives, augmented by photographs that several other Utah archives have graciously allowed us to include.

Salt Lake County Health Department History, 1852-1970

Mountain Guard

During World War II, Salt Lake County had an active Civilian Defense Council. This council participated in war bond drives, trained civil defense workers and conducted drills to help these workers and ordinary citizens prepare for the possibility of an attack.
