Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office Teams Up With Shopping With The Shield To Spread Joy To Local Families

South Salt Lake, December 14, 2024 — This weekend, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office continued its holiday tradition of spreading Christmas cheer to local families in need. This year’s Shopping with the Shield supported nearly 40 families and more than 100 children.

“Shopping with the Shield gives us the opportunity to give back and ensure families in our community feel the joy of the holiday season,” said Sheriff Rosie Rivera. “I’m proud of our team whose generosity and commitment made this experience special.”

At the event, deputies and civilian employees were paired with the children and families, helping them shop for the perfect gifts for their loved ones. Thank you to our partners at Chick-fil-A, Wal-Mart, and Unified Police Department for their support in making this event a success.
