Little Cottonwood Canyon – The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue crews responded to a report of a fallen back country skier at Mount Superior.
Upon arrival, Search and Rescue crews quickly surveyed the area and located the 59-year-old male. Preliminary information indicates the skier fell a significant distance and sustained critical injuries.
The individual was extracted from the area by DPS and then transported to a local hospital for medical treatment by LifeFlight. Powderbird also assisted in the operation.
