SALT LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE ILLUMINATES BUILDINGS GREEN TO HONOR VETERANS FOR OPERATION GREEN LIGHT
South Salt Lake, Nov. 5, 2024 — The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is illuminating the Salt Lake County Metro Jail and the Sheriff’s Office Administration Building.
The buildings will be illuminated to honor our veterans. By shining these green lights, we aim to support our veterans while also raising awareness of the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families.
“We’re fortunate to have many veterans and active service members working in our Sheriff’s Office family. We hope these green lights remind them that they are seen, appreciated, and supported,” said Sheriff Rosie Rivera.
Operation Green Light encourages everyone to show their support by changing one light bulb in your house to a green bulb. This can be an exterior light that lights up the neighborhood or an interior light that might spark a conversation with friends.
