Upper Mill Creek Road Improvement Project Construction Update

As we wrap up the year, we're taking a moment to look back on everything accomplished on the Upper Mill Creek Canyon Road Improvement Project, and there's a lot to celebrate!

• Construction is now about 50 percent complete
• Crews made major progress across the entire corridor before pausing for winter
• Every large culvert (the drainage channels that carry water under the road) is finished except White Bridge, which is now halfway built. 
• Road grading has reached the halfway point as well, extending up to Culvert 10139.
• The soil nail walls are structurally complete, with their decorative finish coming next year.
• Alexander Parking Lot has been fully graded with most of the new rock wall set in place.
• Roughly 25 percent of the new drainage pipes are installed
• 75 percent of the rock stream embankments are now in place to protect the canyon's waterways.
