Salt Lake County and Westminster University Offer Free Tax Preparation Through April 15

Salt Lake County, UT– Through April 15, residents can head to the Salt Lake County Government Center to access free tax preparation and filing services from Westminster University as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. There are also free clinics in Park City, West Valley City, Ogden, Coalville, Heber, Cedar City, and Price.

The IRS-certified volunteers at the clinic offer free tax preparation, electronic filing, and financial advocacy and stability services. Eligible residents:

• low- to moderate-income individuals and families
• persons with disabilities
• the elderly
• members of military services
• Veterans
• members of Native American tribes
• limited English proficiency taxpayers
