Salt Lake County Clerk's Office Hosts Tour of Election Management Center for National Election Official Conference
Salt Lake County, UT — The Salt Lake County Clerk Election Division welcomed election officials and administrators from across the country to its Election Management Center as part of the 40th Annual Election Center National Conference.
The Election Center, a national association of election professionals, chose to tour Salt Lake County’s election center and see Utah’s voting processes first-hand prior to their three-day conference hosted in Salt Lake City. The conference brings together leaders from across the United States to share best practices, attend workshops and certification programs, and highlight innovations in election administration.
”Salt Lake County is so proud to showcase the work that we do to ensure our elections are efficient, transparent, and secure,” said Salt Lake County Clerk Lannie Chapman. “Hosting colleagues from across the country gives us a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, demonstrate our processes, and continue building trust in elections.”
During the tour, attendees observed the County’s ballot processing workflow, safeguards that protect election integrity, and the specialized equipment used to securely process ballots from its nearly 600,000 active registered voters. The visit highlighted Salt Lake County’s innovations in voting systems and core commitments to accuracy and transparency.
The Election Division’s Election Management Center plays a critical role in conducting elections for the state’s most populous county. By opening its doors to election professionals from across the nation, Salt Lake County demonstrated its dedication not only to local voters but also to advancing election administration nationwide.
