The purpose of this event is to remember and honor those who have passed away while experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County in the previous year (Dec. 19, 2023–Dec. 19, 2024). The Vigil will include a reading of the names, a moment of silence, and additional speakers and music to honor and remember those who have passed. Names have been collected throughout the year and added to the list of those to be remembered.
The Vigil is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. This event should be treated as a memorial service for those who have died. We invite attendees to respect the reverent nature of the purpose of the event.
