Requests for RECA Claims

The Salt Lake County Archives can provide Tax Ledgers and Polk City Directories to support your RECA (Radiation Exposure Compensation Act) claim. When submitting requests for these record series, look below to see what information you need to provide for us to best assist you.

What Information to Provide Us

Tax Ledgers

  • A street address connected to a valid tax ID number. Note: many 1950s-60s addresses have changed or no longer exist and may not lead to a record.
  • The year(s) you need Tax Ledgers for.
  • The name(s) that should appear on the Tax Ledgers

City Directories

  • Your address, name(s), and the year(s) required.

We hold directories for: 1951-1953, 1955, and 1957-1962. For Years outside this range, contact the Utah State Archives.
